Job summary

Filigran seeks a seasoned Data Protection Officer & Compliance Officer to design and drive a scalable privacy program. You will serve as the formal DPO, overseeing privacy governance across products, operations and international activities, while leading broader compliance workstreams such as AI governance, regulatory resilience, and export controls.

You will collaborate with the General Counsel, CEO, CISO, and cross-functional teams to align regulatory expectations with business needs,

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience as a DPO or data privacy lead.
• Strong knowledge of data protection law and practice.
• Experience implementing the EU AI Act company-wide.
• Hands-on GDPR/UK GDPR with DPIAs, ROPAs, breach management.
• Ownership of multiple regulatory programs (AI governance, resilience, sanctions).
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical controls for operations.
• Build credibility with technical, commercial and executive stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Act as DPO and main contact for CNIL and data subjects.
• Design and operate Filigran’s privacy program, including DPIAs/ROPA and data transfers.
• Lead the design and implementation of compliance controls across AI governance, NIS2, resilience, export controls and sanctions.
• Maintain a proportionate compliance framework with policies and monitoring.
• Partner with Security to translate regulatory requirements into practical policies.
• Embed privacy and regulatory requirements into product development and vendor management.
• Monitor EU/UK/US regulations and provide clear recommendations to GC and exec team.
• Support enterprise sales and procurement on privacy and governance requirements.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and impact.
• Contribute to building AI capabilities into internal workflows.
