Job summary

Filigran seeks a DPO & Compliance Officer to design and implement a scalable privacy and compliance program across its global, remote-first footprint. You will be Filigran’s formal Data Protection Officer, ensuring privacy governance for products, operations and international data transfers, while leading broader compliance streams such as AI governance and sanctions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience as a DPO, data privacy lead or compliance officer in tech or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of data protection law and practice; DPO certification or IAPP qualification preferred.
• Experience with EU AI Act implementation and GDPR/UK GDPR across jurisdictions.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, proportionate controls and policies.
• Fluency in English and French is a plus and remote-friendly collaboration is expected.

Responsibilities

• Act as Filigran’s Data Protection Officer and primary point of contact for supervisory authorities, CNIL, and data subjects.
• Design and operate Filigran’s privacy program, including DPIAs, DPIAs, retention, subject rights and international transfers.
• Lead compliance controls across AI governance, NIS2, resilience, export controls and sanctions under the General Counsel.
• Maintain a proportionate compliance framework with policies, risk mapping and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Security, Product and Engineering to embed privacy and regulatory requirements in products and vendor management.
• Monitor EU, UK, US and other markets for regulatory developments and provide clear guidance to leadership.
• Support enterprise sales and procurement by addressing privacy and governance requirements.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and contribute to internal AI initiatives.
