Job summary

Shift Technology is seeking a software engineer to join the Agentic squad building production-ready backend services and AI integration in a cloud environment. You will work closely with the US Data Science team to ensure AI models and recovery agents integrate with external services and scale in production.

The role focuses on third-party integrations, API design, and scalable architectures, with emphasis on backend reliability, testing, CI/CD, and end-to-end usability of agentic workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in backend software engineering with a focus on production‑grade architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain robust integrations with third‑party tools, vendor platforms, and recovery agents.
• Design, test, and scale backend services to meet production stability, latency, and performance standards.
• Engineering best practices: architecture design, development frameworks, and long‑term system maintainability.
• Build out end‑to‑end solutions, set up underlying microservices/infrastructure, and drive initial production launch and support.
• UI/UX assistance to ensure end‑to‑end usability of agentic workflows.
