First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p and 7p-7a and the ability to work as little as one shift per month.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License active and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administering medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
