Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ for embedded environments.
• Knowledge of power system protection principles or DSP.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Knowledge of GitHub.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (VxWorks, FreeRTOS, QNX, or Embedded Linux).
• Language: English proficiency; French mandatory for local collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development: design, develop, and maintain robust real-time embedded software for protection relays using C/C++.
• Collaborate with protection engineers to implement complex mathematical algorithms in efficient embedded-ready code.
• Optimize firmware performance for real-time execution and low-latency data processing.
• Validate and debug to ensure stability under extreme grid conditions.
• Apply cybersecurity practices in firmware architecture per IEC 62443.
• Utilize AI coding assistants for embedded code generation, refactoring, and unit test scaffolding.
• Write precise specs/prompts for bounded, verifiable AI-driven code changes.
• Validate AI-generated code against timing and memory constraints.
