Job summary

Harmattan AI in Paris seeks a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to own the signal processing algorithms behind our airborne radar payload, from research to embedded implementation and flight validation.

You will work with EW and RF analytics teams to convert product requirements into mission-ready capabilities, with high autonomy and rigorous engineering practices.

This role offers fast iteration, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and real-world defense applications.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of radar signal processing experience in defense or automotive radar.
• Experience with FMCW or pulsed radar and moving target tracking.
• Strong mathematical foundations and hands-on approach, not tool-reliant.
• Ability to own a technical scope end-to-end with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design near-real-time algorithms for radar image formation, including ISAR.
• Develop detection and tracking algorithms (EKF/UKF) for moving targets.
• Build jamming estimation via spectral sniffing and covariance analysis.
• Contribute radar observables supporting navigation when GNSS is unavailable.
• Prototype and port algorithms to the embedded computing platform with real-time constraints.
• Validate end-to-end through hardware-in-the-loop tests and flight conditions.
• Collaborate with EW and RF analytics to align with system requirements.
