ixolabs.ai is seeking a remote expert to participate in a study requiring firsthand experience as a public defender for indigent defendants. You will review jurisdictional practices, discuss duties performed, and outline how your prior role aligns with the study requirements.

The assignment is paid on an hourly basis and you will coordinate the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs, and working schedule with IXO before starting.

Professional background

You must have personally represented indigent defendants as a current or former US public defender. Describe your jurisdiction, when you practiced and the duties you performed. Court-appointed and contract-defense arrangements can be considered when explained. Prosecutorial work, legal study, annotation or other legal practice without public-defense responsibilities does not qualify for this study.

Working arrangements

This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement. Research time is reviewed on an hourly basis with a maximum paid duration of 90 minutes for this study; any later research is separately agreed.

Pay

$105/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin. Use only materials you are authorized to share, and keep private or restricted information out of your submissions.
