Description du poste

Interested in arts, culture, social impact, and international collaboration? Join the PLACE Network and gain hands-on experience supporting international arts and culture programs that connect Europe and Africa.

We are looking for a Programme & Events Intern to join our Arts, Culture & Society Hub in Paris. The intern will support the coordination and delivery of international programs, cultural activities, events, and community engagement initiatives, while gaining practical experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination.

About PLACE Network

PLACE Network is shaping a future where people with migration backgrounds are recognized as innovators, leaders, and changemakers.

Our Arts, Culture & Society Hub strengthens belonging and social cohesion by supporting creatives, artivists, and cultural leaders with migration backgrounds to shape narratives, influence institutions, and engage communities through artistic and cultural practice.

Through international learning programs, cultural exchanges, residencies, and collaborative initiatives, the Hub connects artists and organisations across Europe and Africa to promote cross-border creative collaboration, creative leadership, and social impact.

Role Overview

As a Programme & Events Intern, you will be working in our Paris office (hybrid) and support the implementation of two international programs:

  • Artivism Alliance: In Motion, supporting cross-border artistic collaborations through mentoring, micro-grants, and a residency.
  • Artivism Without Borders, a France–Uganda initiative connecting young refugee and migrant-background artivists through participatory arts and peer learning.

Working closely with the Head of Programs & Hub Lead, you will contribute to program coordination, participant and community engagement, event planning, partner outreach, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination and follow-up of program activities across ongoing international projects
  • Support participant and community communication and follow-up
  • Maintain project documentation, timelines, and tracking tools
  • Support the organisation of online workshops, meetings, and in-person sessions
  • Assist with outreach to cultural institutions, civil society organisations, artistic networks, and community partners
  • Support the planning and coordination of program and public engagement events
  • Assist with event logistics, timelines, budgets, activities, and registrations
  • Liaise with artists, speakers, cultural organisations, and service providers
  • Prepare agendas, event flows, invitations, and event materials
  • Support event implementation and delivery (e.g. production and event set up);
  • Collect participant feedback and contribute to evaluation summaries
  • Assist with documentation and reporting for the programs
What’s in it for you?
  • Hands-on experience coordinating international arts and culture programs
  • Opportunity to contribute to cross-border collaborations connecting Europe and Africa
  • Opportunity to progressively take ownership of a dissemination or public engagement event, from planning through implementation and evaluation
  • Development of practical skills in program coordination, event management, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach
  • Supervised learning within a small, international and mission-driven team
  • 50% transportation reimbursement (Navigo)
  • Legal minimum internship gratification in accordance with French regulations
  • Meal vouchers

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across different projects
  • Strong interest in arts, culture, migration, and social impact
