Job summary

Parallel is seeking a Product Designer to join our first design hire. You will work daily with Product Managers, Engineers and the Ops team on complex, domain-specific topics used by hospital coding teams.

You’ll own product improvements end to end, from understanding the need to delivery, and contribute to branding across the app and brand. You should have 4–7 years of experience as a product-minded designer in a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up, with high standards for visual quality and comfort

Context

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our first Designer on Parallel's design: the app used every day by hospital coding teams, as well as the brand. You'll work daily with Product Managers, Engineers and the Ops team. You'll work on complex, domain-specific topics, with demanding users.

Your mission

Own product improvements end to end, including some product management: understand the need, frame and define the problem, prioritize, design the solution, then follow it through to production. You own the whole chain, from the need to delivery.

Design the app's interfaces: from user flows to final UI.

Who you are

• You have 4 to 7 years of experience.
• You have experience as a strongly product-minded Product Designer, gained in a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up.
• You have high standards for the visual quality of interfaces.
• You can take on product management topics.
• You want to work on the brand as well.
• You use tools like Claude or Cursor to speed up your work.
