Job summary

NTT DATA in Paris is seeking a Principal Service/Product Design Architect to translate business strategy into sustainable, scalable service offers and next-generation capabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, Business or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial.
• Extended experience in Information Technology environment, particularly IT Operations.
• Experience in Operations Architecture, Service Architecture, or Pre-sales Consulting related to outsourced services.

Responsibilities

• Designs and documents service definitions for new offers and capabilities.
• Leads ideation and design workshops to validate needs and identify designs at process, platform and organizational levels.
• Coordinates with other architects, designers and subject matter experts for detailed solution designs.
• Ensures designs meet common and specific design principles and applied service guidelines.

• Produces workshop collateral for facilitation in ideation and design workshops.
• Analyses pre-sales concepts to influence design decisions for operability, maintainability and scalability.

Your day at NTT DATA

The Principal Service/Product Design Architect is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for executing the relevant business unit strategy through the development of sustainable, scalable, best practice service offers.

This role works with Service Offer Management team to define and scope new services and service capabilities.

The Principal Service/Product Design Architect interacts with key stakeholders including Sales, Delivery, Platform and our clients, to ensure that the design of services will meet the real needs of clients across a global marketplace.

Key responsibilities:

• Designs and develops paper prototypes for review with clients and stakeholders to ensure scope and definition is feasible and viable.
• Documents Internal Service Definitions for new service offers and service capabilities.
• Facilitates ideation and design workshops to validate needs, and identify solution designs at a process, platform an organization level.
• Coordinates with other architects, designers and subject matter experts responsible for detailed solution designs.
• Ensures that designs meet the common and specific design principles to be applied to a service.
• Leverages best practices in design thinking, scaled agile, ITIL, security - to design best-of-breed service solutions.
• Applies core design principles across all new service design and service development.
• Develops workshop collateral to be used as facilitation tools in ideation and design workshops.
• Seeks out opportunities to enhance and innovate our design practices to ensure that our service solutions will optimize potential revenue generation, minimize cost and create the most cost-effective client experience designed to grow client adoption of services portfolio.
• Conceptualizes designs by conducting detailed analysis of service design and architecture frameworks, to ensure the design is fit for purpose and meets client requirements.
• Analyse pre-sales concepts and influence design decisions to ensure that they are operable, maintainable, scalable and robust through an end-to-end lifecycle.
• Plans design activities in detail, making sure that all relevant aspects and client requirements are considered during service design, specifies any technical infrastructure to be created, as well as required organizational changes.
• Responsible for producing and maintaining all design documentation including blueprints and produce a service design model which is delivered to the transition phase and contains all the necessary details for all phases of the life cycle.
• Assesses architecture components and validates and verifies technical models to ensure risks are minimized and technical service designs are rolled out within the agreed service levels (SLA's) and operating levels (OLA's) and are fit for purpose.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial.

Required experience:

• Extended experience working in an Information Technology environment, particularly within IT Operations.
• Extended relevant experience in similar role within a related environment.
• Extended experience in Operations Architecture, Service Architecture, or Pre-sales Consulting role related to outsourced services.
