Job summary

Alice & Bob invites an intern to contribute to scaling chip alignment as nanofabrication moves from 2-inch to 4-inch wafers. You will design and test tools and procedures to speed up alignment, while learning to integrate the visual inspection microscope and probe station into a reliable workflow.

The internship runs for 4–6 months, starting in January 2027, with opportunities to document procedures and present findings to the team.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English.
• Some knowledge of clean room environments and microfabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Propose and design solutions for pre-aligning diced chips before visual inspection and probing.
• Source and procure hardware tools for chip pre-alignment.
• Learn and apply automatic alignment procedures of the visual inspection microscope and probe station.
• Test the full workflow and verify alignment meets requirements.
• Ensure test data flows to the repository without errors and improve the process as needed.
• Write specifications and document results; present findings to the nanofabrication community at Alice & Bob.
