Alice & Bob is offering a 5-6 month internship in Aubervilliers, France, to join the nanofabrication team working on Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) software. You’ll refine defect-detection pipelines and prepare software for 4-inch wafer fabrication, gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of software and cleanroom processes.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Microtechnology, Electrical Engineering or Engineering.
• Available for a 5-6 month internship starting in January 2027.
• Comfortable with numerical coding (Python, Julia, or similar).
• Some knowledge of cleanroom environments and microfabrication (semiconductors, superconductors) is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Improve existing AOI software by combining and optimizing current defect detection pipelines.
• Experiment directly on chips and wafers in production.
• Work to reduce overall AOI test time to boost fab productivity.
• Improve detection efficiency, lowering false negative and false positive rates.
• Interact with process engineers to understand defect morphology and refine detection.
