IRD Occitanie, based in Toulouse, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in environmental science within the CECI Laboratory (Climate, Environment, Coupling and Uncertainties). The project advances numerical Earth system modeling and stakeholder-relevant climate information under international collaboration.

Reporting to the SAFESEA Scientific Coordinator, you will identify stakeholders, design surveys, co-develop decision-support tools, and help communicate climate projections on

Qualifications

• Strong background in marine biogeochemistry and/or social sciences.
• Experience in design, implementation, and analysis of social science surveys.
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages and analytical tools.
• Excellent command of scientific English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Identify and engage a broad range of stakeholders at regional, European, and global levels.
• Conduct participatory assessments to identify stakeholders' needs and risk perceptions.
• Co-develop decision-support tools contextualizing climate information for different groups.
• Design and implement an integrated communication strategy on ocean warming, acidification and deoxygenation.
• Maximize uptake and sustainability of project outcomes through targeted exploitation activities and policy engagement.
• Strengthen local capacity through training and education activities.
