The Institute of Structural Biology (IBS) at Grenoble seeks a highly skilled researcher to join the NMR group and advance structural studies on Lpp/Ldt interactions. You will determine Ldts structures by NMR and/or X-ray crystallography, map interfaces, and explore binding with substrates and inhibitors in collaboration with chemists and microbiologists.

Qualifications

PhD in Structural biology.
Expertise in protein biochemistry and structural biology (NMR) or in X-ray crystallography.
English (written/oral) level B2.

Responsabilités

Determine the structures of the different Ldts by NMR and/or X-ray crystallography, both alone and in complex with their partners.
Characterise the Ldt / peptidoglycan / Lpp interactions at the structural level, identifying surfaces and residues involved in recognition.
Implement complementary biochemical and biophysical approaches to define the determinants of these interactions.
Validate the structural and biochemical findings in vivo, through targeted mutants.
Perform molecular docking studies with substrates and inhibitors to guide interpretation.
Characterise interactions between Ldts and inhibitors; liaise with chemists and microbiologists; disseminate results via publications.
Participate in lab activities and outreach activities; contribute to day-to-day operations.
