The Institute of Human Genetics (IGH), a CNRS-University of Montpellier joint unit, invites applications for a research position to study the role of nuclear pore complexes in chromatin organization. You will develop the project, carry out experimental work, and supervise a doctoral student within the Nuclear Architecture team.

The position requires a Ph.D. in genome organization, expertise in microC, genomics techniques, and mouse ES cell culture, with English proficiency (B1).

Qualifications

  • PhD in genome organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of biology, chromatin organization, and nuclear pores.
  • Proficiency in microC including experimental and bioinformatics components.
  • Proficiency in classical genomics techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq).
  • Proficiency in mouse ES cell culture and in vitro differentiation.
  • Proficiency with the gastruloid model.
  • Proficiency in English (B1 level).
  • Ability to work in a team and supervise PhD students.
  • Scientific curiosity and motivation.

Responsabilités

  • Develop a scientific research question.
  • Select, adapt, develop, and carry out experimental approaches in consultation with the laboratory director.
  • Analyze and present scientific results at team meetings, conferences, and publications.
  • Supervise a doctoral student and potential interns, engineers, or students.
  • Monitor scientific developments related to the project.
