Job summary

Institut Imagine in Paris invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate mitochondrial nucleic acid immunogenicity and its role in neuroinflammation within genetic diseases. You will work on patient-derived cells, iPSC-derived CNS models, and cutting-edge imaging and sequencing methods.

The successful candidate will lead the project, supervise trainees, and contribute to scientific publications and grant reporting, with English as the working language of the team.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field required.
• Solid experience in molecular and cellular biology and mitochondrial studies.
• Knowledge of iPSC culture and neural differentiation is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and able to work autonomously and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Study mechanisms controlling mitochondrial nucleic acid immunogenicity in disease-associated mitochondrial protein mutations.
• Use patient-derived cells, human cell lines, and iPSC-derived CNS models; apply advanced imaging and sequencing.
• Supervise trainees and contribute to presentations, manuscripts, and project reporting.
