CNRS, within the Institut de Biologie Intégrative de la Cellule, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher focused on phage protein interactions. You will benchmark structure prediction tools, perform multi-scale modeling, and develop machine learning predictors.

Collaboration with Franco-German teams and access to compute clusters are provided. The position is funded for 13 months with a start date in autumn 2026, based in Gif-sur-Yvette near Paris.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, microbiology/viral ecology, or related field.
• Experience in data analysis and methods development.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of French not required.
• Knowledge of bacteriophages and protein/RNA interactions is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Data collection and curation.
• Benchmarking 3D structure prediction tools and biological language models.
• Multi-scale structural modeling and analysis of predicted 3D models.
• Statistical modeling and machine learning to develop predictor tools.
• Analysis of interaction networks.
• Development of methods, scripts, and software; use of compute clusters.
• Prepare data for integration into VirJenDB.
