CY Cergy Paris Université invites applications for a full-time, 24-month postdoctoral research position starting January 2027 in the ERRMECe laboratory to develop engineered bacteriophages against biofilm-associated Staphylococcus aureus infections.

The role spans phage engineering, biofilm microbiology, and translational anti-infective research, with collaboration across international partners and access to unique phage resources under the PHAGOBOOST project and France 2030 funding.

Qualifications

• PhD in microbiology, molecular microbiology, bioengineering, synthetic biology or related field.
• Strong track record with peer‑reviewed publications.
• Excellent written and oral English.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting.

Responsabilités

• Identify genetic determinants for stable payload integration while preserving phage fitness.
• Implement bacteriophage genome editing tools.
• Evaluate antibiofilm properties of engineered phages in relevant models.
• Disseminate findings and contribute to project reporting.
