IMT Mines Alès invites applications for a 20-month, full-time post-doctoral fellow position affiliated with the Mines Alès Materials Centre (C2MA) and the PCH unit, focusing on the fire safety of lithium-ion batteries and interactions between thermal runaway and polymer environments.

The role includes designing an experimental test bench, defining protocols, conducting campaigns, and contributing to teaching and dissemination through publications and conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD required.
  • Strong English proficiency for scientific communication.

Responsabilités

  • Design, develop and implement an experimental test bench for battery thermal runaway in the presence of polymeric materials.
  • Define experimental protocols, run test campaigns and analyse results to understand fire propagation mechanisms.
  • Contribute to teaching activities within IMT Mines Alès’ programme on battery fire safety.
  • Help design and deliver a training module on thermal runaway mechanisms and prevention strategies.
  • Prepare teaching materials and disseminate scientific results from the project.
