Dim Materre in Paris is seeking a PhD student to work on innovative and eco-responsible processes for lithium-ion batteries. The successful candidate will develop third-generation batteries using molten extrusion methods, requiring a Master's or Engineer degree in polymer sciences, physics, or physical-chemistry, alongside knowledge in polymer processing and English proficiency. Qualifications

  • Master or Engineer degree in polymer sciences, physics or physical-chemistry of polymers obtained in 2023.
  • Good knowledge of polymer processing.
  • Knowledge in electrochemistry and batteries is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Description du poste

The PIMM, member of MaTerRE, is looking for a PhD student to carry out a thesis on innovative and eco-responsible processes for the implementation of lithium-ion batteries.

The objective will be to develop methods of manufacturing third-generation lithium-ion batteries by molten extrusion process, that are more productive, environmentally responsible and less energy-consuming than traditional solvent methods.

Desired profile:

The candidate should hold a Master or Engineer degree in polymer sciences, physics or physical-chemistry of polymers obtained in 2023, and have a good knowledge of polymer processing. Knowledge in electrochemistry and batteries would be a plus. A good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
