Pathway Healthcare is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our team. You will promote and embed PBS strategies within our homes, conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop PBS plans, while collaborating with care teams and external professionals to improve outcomes.

The role requires experience with disabilities and autism, strong data skills, and a driving licence to travel between locations. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Formación

• BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis.
• Experience with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
• Resilience and professionalism in challenging settings.
• Experience reducing restrictive practices.
• Proficient with digital care systems and MS Office.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel between locations.

Responsabilidades

• Promote and embed PBS strategies in assigned Homes.
• Complete functional behaviour assessments and data analyses.
• Develop interventions, PBS plans and behaviour reports.
• Work with care team to embed active support and life skills.
• Liaise with external professionals and families.
• Contribute to placement reviews and referral assessments.
• Deliver training and role-model in homes.
• Contribute to accident and incident reviews.

Pathway provides specialist residential care for young people and adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and associated challenging behaviour.

Our homes are beautifully appointed, family scale homes where great care is delivered by our committed team of experienced and qualified care professionals, who fully support individuals, helping them to lead full lives and gain greater independence.

We pride ourselves on our ability to develop and deliver person centred care journeys utilising our own bespoke PBS strategies and are currently looking to recruit a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our team.

Your role will involve:

• promoting and embedding PBS strategies within your assigned Homes
• completing functional behaviour assessments, analysing direct and indirect data collections, developing interventions, writing PBS plans and behaviour reports
• working with the care team to embed active support and improving life skills
• liaising with external professionals and families
• contributing to placement reviews and referral assessments
• delivering training to the care teams and role modelling in the homes
• contributing to accident and incident reviews

Our requirements:

• BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis
• Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism
• Able to demonstrate resilience and professionalism in challenging situations
• Experience in reducing restrictive practices
• Strong experience of working with digital care systems and MS Office
• Full driving licence and ability to travel to our various locations
