Shaw Healthcare is seeking a creative, friendly and organized person to plan and carry out engaging activities at Maes-Y-Wennol, a specialised care home in Llanidloes, Wales. This role focuses on enriching residents’ daily lives through varied activities and social events.

Experience is not required; training will be provided. The position offers an 16-hour contract at £13.45 per hour, with comprehensive employee benefits and a supportive, employee-owned environment.

• Ensure activities are delivered safely following Shaw Healthcare policies and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' activities.
• Coordinate with senior nursing staff regarding outings.
• Research prospective outings for accessibility and facilities.

Shaw Healthcare is looking for a creative, friendly and organized person to plan and carry out fun activities in Maes-Y-Wennol

Maes y Wennol is a specialised care home located in Llanidloes, Wales that provides care and support for individuals living with dementia.This purpose-built facility offers a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, with 29 single bedrooms that are en-suite and can be personalised according to the resident's preferences.

Job Responsibilities

Plan, organize and deliver varied activities that meet the service users interests and abilities

Encourage and motivate service users to participate in activities and social events

Celebrate birthdays, seasonal events with in the home.

Work collaboratively with care staff to identify opportunities for meaningful engagement through the day

Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance to Shaw Healthcare’s policies and risk assessments

To maintain accurate and legible records in respect of service users’ activities.

To liaise with the senior nurse on duty with regard to outings.

To research all prospective outings in respect of access and toileting facilities.
