Job summary

The Carlyle Group seeks a Portfolio CTO to guide technology strategy across a diversified portfolio of mid-market B2B SaaS companies. You will influence multiple organizations, acting as a trusted advisor to CTOs and engineering leaders, and shape cross-portfolio tech direction.

You will mentor executives, drive modern SaaS and cloud architecture adoption, and help prepare assets for exits while collaborating with a team of experts across Europe in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in senior tech leadership roles.
• Experience with private equity or portfolio management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of modern SaaS architecture and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive technology value creation across multiple portfolio companies.
• Support technical diligence on new investments.
• Build and manage a network of trusted tech partners.
• Coach and mentor CTOs and engineering leaders.
• Establish best practices and share knowledge across the portfolio.
• Prepare technology assets for exit strategies.
