Job summary

Gates Corporation in Nevers, France, seeks a Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility and drive performance across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain. You will champion safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction while deploying Gates Manufacturing Excellence principles.

The role requires deep leadership in a high-demand manufacturing environment, strong financial acumen, and proven capability to operate with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards.

Qualifications

• 11 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing leadership.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Operations Management.
• Significant leadership experience in a demanding manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience as a Plant Director, Operations Director or similar leadership role.
• Solid background in Lean Manufacturing, financial management, HSE and employee relations.
• Fluent French and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead site health, safety and environmental objectives and compliance.
• Own site operational performance, meeting production, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Define and implement the site's medium- and long-term roadmap and capacity plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and a culture of operational excellence.
• Ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory and Gates requirements.
• Manage site budget, financial results, and relationships with regional management.
