CO2 AI, based in Paris, is seeking a People Manager to own the People function and serve as HR partner for the whole company. You will drive business partnering, HR projects, and payroll operations while automating processes and using AI thoughtfully.

The role reports to the COO and collaborates with managers across the org. Requirements include 4–8 years of HR experience with true business partnering, strong autonomy, fluency in English, and comfort with French employment documents.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of HR experience with genuine business partnering.
• Autonomy to set priorities and to communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Experience automating or redesigning HR processes; familiarity with AI tools is not enough.
• Hands-on HR operations including contracts, payroll and benefits.
• Reliability with confidential information.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• French reading ability; conversational French is a plus.
• Degree in HR or employment law is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Business partnering: advise managers, develop career plans, manage performance and compensation.
• Lead HR projects: salary structure, onboarding, remote policy, handbook and org evolution.
• Use AI to reduce manual work and build lightweight automations.
• Recruitment: end-to-end hiring, roughly one hire per month including interns.
• HR operations and payroll: lifecycle, French compliance, contracts, DPAE, Deel collaboration.
• Office and team life: suppliers, equipment and events.
