SumUp is seeking a Working Student for its People Operations & Payroll team in Paris. You will support monthly payroll tasks, HR administration, onboarding/offboarding, and employee data management.

This is an entry-level role ideal for someone organised, reliable, and eager to build expertise in HR/payroll within a fast-moving environment. You will collect payroll data, assist with benefits coordination, and respond to routine employee queries while helping to improve processes and data

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in HR, business administration, economics or related field.
• Fluent in French and English with clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with payroll data.
• Basic Excel / Google Sheets skills and confidence with structured data.
• Organised and reliable, able to manage recurring tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion and good judgement.
• Quick to learn new tools and systems across multiple HR platforms.
• Team player with a service‑oriented attitude.

Responsabilités

• Payroll support: collect and organise payroll input data ahead of monthly deadlines.
• Support follow-up with external payroll and benefits providers.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and flag missing information or discrepancies.
• HR administration: prepare, update, and archive employment contracts and documentation.
• Support onboarding, contract changes, and offboarding processes.
• Assist with benefits administration where needed.
• Employee support: respond to routine queries via internal systems and email.
• Data management: update HR systems and Notion/Sheets trackers; suggest process improvements.
