Northern Montana Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clerk to handle patient registrations for in-patient and out-patient services. You will manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to NMH and NMCC when needed, while providing a visitor-friendly admissions area for patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, keyboarding at 50 WPM, knowledge of 10 key, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, retain and apply information.
• Experience in office procedures is helpful but not required.

About the role

Responsible for all patient registration for in-patient or out-patient services. Responsible for daily operation of a multi-line phone system, answering and transferring all calls to Northern Montana Hospital (NMH) and Northern Montana Care Center (NMCC) whenever switchboard area on third floor is not covered by PBX operator. Provides a "visitor friendly" atmosphere in the admissions area, assisting all patients, visitors and co-workers who have questions or concerns. Other office duties as needed.

• Keyboarding minimum of 50 WPM.
• Knowledge of 10 key.
• Ability to comprehend, retain and apply given information.
• Experience in office procedures helpful but not necessary.
• Ability to successfully pass Background Check and Drug Screen.

Salary commensurate with up to 10 years experience.
