Our client, a leading European private equity firm specializing in renewable energy and sustainable real assets, is building the next phase of a data center fund based in Paris. The role combines strategic origination, due diligence, and close collaboration with fundraising teams to support the growth of scalable platforms across Europe.

Based in Paris with flexible working arrangements, you will coordinate deal execution, shape investment strategy, and engage LPs and advisory partners.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in digital infrastructure or data center investment, development, or strategy.
• Strong understanding of the European data center ecosystem, including demand drivers and regulatory landscape.
• Proficiency in investment modeling, technical due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is a strong asset.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and drive origination, due diligence, and execution of data center investments across Europe.
• Act as a key interface with fundraising teams, placement agents, and LPs, bringing credibility and technical depth.
• Collaborate closely with the investment committee on deal strategy and pipeline development.
• Evaluate opportunities related to power procurement, site acquisition, and sustainable development.
• Build and maintain relationships with technical advisors, developers, and operating partners through the build and operation phases.
• Be part of the firm's Sustainable Cities team, contributing beyond the data center strategy to other funds as needed.
• Shape long-term platform value creation and portfolio company governance.

About the Role

Our client, a leading European private equity firm with a strong track record in renewable energy and sustainable real assets, is building the next phase of a fund dedicated to backing the next generation of data center developers across Europe. The strategy focuses on early stage value creation, supporting developers through the critical risk reduction phase of a project's lifecycle, with a long term, ownership minded approach to building lasting platforms. All of the firm's real asset funds, including this one, are Article 9 under SFDR, with a clear focus on measurable sustainability outcomes.

This Partner role sits within the firm's Digital Infrastructure team, working alongside the Partner heading the team and two existing Partners, with some involvement across the team's other investments beyond the data center strategy itself. Based in Paris, with flexibility on exact working arrangements to be discussed directly, the role will work closely with the firm's partners to bring both technical depth and fundraising credibility to this strategy.

What You Bring

Experience & expertise:

• Over 10 years of experience in digital infrastructure or data center investment, development, or strategy, ideally including experience through a full deal cycle including an exit, not limited to data centers specifically.
• Strong understanding of the European data center ecosystem, including demand drivers, regulatory landscape, energy constraints, and technology trends.
• Proficiency in investment modeling, technical due diligence, and deal structuring.

Skills & orientation:

• Ability to communicate confidently and credibly with LPs and internal stakeholders.
• A long term, ownership minded orientation toward investing, with genuine interest in the ongoing management and stewardship of assets after close, not only in getting deals done.
• Fluency in English required, proficiency in French is a strong asset.
