YAI is seeking a part-time program assistant in Rego Park to support individuals with disabilities. The role involves ensuring safety, implementing person-centered plans, and facilitating activities and community integration. The position requires empathy, patience, and strong communication skills, with training in SCIP-R and related certifications.

The position emphasizes teamwork, documentation, and adherence to HIPAA while delivering high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Competenze

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to meet essential physical demands (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, walking).
Excellent written and oral communication for documentation and billing.
Empathy and patience when supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Must hold or obtain SCIP-R within one year.
Must hold or obtain a valid Driver's License and Van certification where required.

Provide supervision and ensure safety following program guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
Deliver health, wellness, and crisis management in line with policies.
