Operations (Ops) Team

The Ops Team is responsible for organizing and coordinating the international transportation needs of our clients. Acting as the primary point of contact, the team bridges customers and carefully chosen service providers to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Reactivity, excellence, pedagogy, and customer awareness guide our work. This internship is based in our office in Paris.

What does it mean to be an Operations Management Intern at OVRSEA?

As an Operations Management Intern, you will be the primary coordinator of international transport, managing our service providers—agents, shipping and trucking carriers, and customs brokers. You will keep clients informed about shipment progress, update them on key stages, guide them through challenges, and provide the best possible solutions. Your responsibilities include:

Your role in the Ops team:

• Transportation operations in large import or export (70%)
  • Accompanying a portfolio of customers
  • Carrying out air, sea, road, and rail transport
  • Customer advice and problem solving
• Operational planning and pricing of international transport (15%)
  • Responding to customer requests for quotations
  • Participating in the improvement loop between quotation, operations, and invoicing to streamline processes
• Managing customer invoicing (15%)
  • Participating in invoicing of transport files
  • Managing contact with customers to explain any discrepancies between quotation and billing

Learning environment

You will start with a 10‑week training conducted by our transport instructor, Solenne. Additionally, you will work closely with a senior Ops Manager who will coach you throughout the internship to help you develop into a transport expert.
