OVRSEA is seeking an Operations Management Intern to join the Paris office. You will coordinate international transport by managing service providers and keeping clients informed through key shipment stages, ensuring smooth operations and superior service.

You will work closely with an experienced Senior Ops Manager and a transport instructor during a 10-week training, gaining hands-on exposure to air, sea, road, and rail freight, with a clear path for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• French native or bilingual; English fluent.
• Available for a 6-month end-of-studies internship.
• Passion for transportation and multimodal freight is desirable.

The Operations team

The Operations (Ops) Team is responsible for organizing and coordinating the international transportation needs of our clients. Serving as the primary point of contact, the Ops team acts as a bridge between our customers and our carefully chosen service providers. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience at OVRSEA. Reactivity, excellence, pedagogy, and customer awareness are the guiding principles that drive our team.

This internship position is based in our office in Paris.

What does it mean to be an Operations Management Intern at OVRSEA?

As an Operations Management Intern, you will be the primary coordinator of international transport, managing our service providers, including agents, shipping and trucking carriers, and customs brokers. You will keep clients informed about their shipment progress, update them on key stages, guide them through challenges, and provide the best possible solutions when necessary.

Committed todelivering high-quality service, prompt responsiveness, and reliability, you will drive OVRSEA's growth with the following responsibilities:

Your role in the Ops team:

• Transportation operations in large import or export (70%)
  • Accompanying a portfolio of customers,
  • Carrying out air, sea, road and rail transport,
  • Customer advice and problem solving.
• Operational planning and pricing of international transport (15%)
  • Response to customer requests for quotations,
  • Participation in the improvement loop between quotation, operations and invoicing: be able to step back and improve upstream to make operations run more smoothly and invoicing easier.
• Manage customer invoicing (15%)
  • Participation in the invoicing of transport files,
  • Manage the contact with customers to explain the differences that may appear between the quotation and the billing.

Learning environment

You will start your internship with a 10-week training with Solenne, our transport instructor in the team! Additionally, you will work closely with an individual coach (a Senior Ops Manager). This dedicated coach will be fully committed to helping you gradually enhance your skills and become a transport expert. Get ready to enjoy this engaging learning experience!

• You are available from April/July for 6 months for a end of study internship.
• French native or bilingual speaker, you also speak English fluently.
• You are highly motivated to discover the world of transportation and the modalities of air, sea and rail freight, even if this sector is still unknown to you.
• You are organized and you know how to manage challenging situations: the days in Ops are exciting but intense. A lot of subjects have to be managed at the same time within defined deadlines.
• You think solutions rather than problems, you are able to take initiatives, and you have excellent communication skills.
