Yahoo is seeking a senior SOC/IR analyst to join the FIRE team and protect Yahoo and users from sophisticated threats. You will lead investigations, perform threat hunting with AI-assisted tooling, and work across Yahoo's telemetry platforms.

Expect a weekday night shift (4 days) with on-call rotations and opportunities to mentor juniors while leveraging Databricks and advanced AI models to detect and respond to threats at Internet scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as SOC/Incident Response Analyst with complex investigations.
• Experience with macOS and Linux systems, security architectures.

Responsabilités

• Act as a shift lead and resource for colleagues during investigations.
• Perform threat hunting and proactive research using AI models.
• Develop/participate in table-top exercises and threat hunting exercises.
• Assess high-priority incidents and drive remediation across Yahoo units.
• Work with IDS, firewalls, EDR, and other security technologies.
• Tune detection signatures with engineering and develop AI-augmented playbooks.
• Evaluate new log sources for detection value.
• Automate IR tasks with AI tooling and participate in special projects.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical escalations.
