Databricks is seeking a Staff Security Engineer in Incident Response to join a fast-moving IR team. You will investigate security incidents, perform forensics, and help scale detections and responses across our platform.

You will triage alerts, lead incident containment, and develop autonomous capabilities leveraging AI, while guiding junior responders and documenting technical decisions for broader impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years experience in Incident Response or Master's Degree with 5+ years experience.
• Cloud security expertise in AWS, GCP or Azure, and proficiency in the others.
• Proficiency in AI/LLM and agentic capabilities; experience with agentic security systems preferred.
• Broad security subject matter expertise.
• Expertise in core IR skills (DFIR, Reverse Engineering, Network Security, Storage and access security, Sandboxing, Compute security).
• Experience with Enterprise Security and SaaS applications.
• Working knowledge of a SIEM and SOAR.
• Experience building Incident Response Tooling, scripting languages and AI coding tools.

Responsabilités

• Respond to incidents as part of a distributed 24x7 operations and on-call schedule.
• Triage and respond to security events and alerts, ensuring containment.
• Conduct analysis and forensics across data sources to determine timeline and impact.
• Provide technical leadership and influence team direction.
• Develop solutions leveraging AI and agentic platforms to scale impact.
• Communicate technical decisions through design docs and tech talks; mentor junior responders.
