The Pacific Community (SPC) is seeking a Nature-based Solutions Mainstreaming Advisor to lead NbS integration across SPC programmes and partnerships in the climate change arena.

You will coordinate NbS strategy, develop operational plans, provide technical oversight, lead donor engagement and support Kiwa and PPIN initiatives, with a focus on regional leadership and capacity building.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Ecology, Environment, Conservation, Sustainable Development, Monitoring and Evaluation and Education or related fields or equivalent body of knowledge and experience.
• At least 10 years of international development and climate change experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in medium-large, complex climate change project management.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management.
• Strong leadership with ability to develop influential policy networks.
• Excellent English with strong communication and presentations skills.

Responsabilités

• NbS coordination for SPC programmatic approach.
• Provide technical oversight to NbS initiatives including trainings and briefing sessions.
• Lead SPC-Donors engagements on NbS and growth of the NbS portfolio.
• Oversee Kiwa Initiative and PPIN reporting and coordination.
• Mainstream NbS as priorities by aligning with IUCN NbS standards and regional strategies.
• Provide day-to-day management of the direct report and oversee performance reviews.
