NTU International seeks a Non-Key Expert – Forestry, Climate Change & Biodiversity to support technical assistance assignments in sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region. Applicants should have a postgraduate degree and extensive field experience in relevant sectors, with strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Willingness to travel to remote areas is required.

Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in forestry, environmental sciences, natural resources management, biodiversity conservation, ecology, climate change or related discipline.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to draft high-quality documents and reports.
Strong knowledge of forestry, climate change, biodiversity and natural resources management, with regional context.

Responsabilités

Contribute to sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management.
Support climate change adaptation and mitigation activities.
Engage with national/local institutions, development partners and communities.
Prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate environment and climate-related programmes.
