IXO is seeking a remote contributor to craft realistic, standards-aware writing exercises for AI systems using US federal reporting formats. You will assemble prompts, input documents and exemplar responses for recurring and ad hoc tasks, producing weekly reports and executive summaries.

Deliverables include decision briefs, memos and spreadsheet summaries. You will write scoring rubrics, assess generated outputs and refine exercises to preserve meaningful differences across branches and styles.

Qualifications

• Three years or more in a relevant role with direct experience preparing standard staff reports and executive communications.
• Experience producing and reviewing PowerPoint briefings, memos, Excel summaries and other procedural documents.
• Remote opportunity for US-based contributors; familiarity with federal terminology and reporting expectations is central.

Your work at IXO Use your knowledge of US military and federal reporting to build realistic writing exercises for AI systems. The work is about producing clear, standards-aware examples and evaluating the quality of generated reports. It does not involve operational military activity or access to restricted government information.

Responsibilities

• Assemble writing prompts, permitted input documents and exemplary responses for recurring and ad hoc reporting tasks.
• Create weekly activity reports, situation reports, after-action reviews, executive summaries and performance reporting examples.
• Prepare supporting decision briefs, memoranda, action-officer updates, presentations and spreadsheet summaries where the exercise calls for them.
• Write scoring guidance that distinguishes factual completeness, appropriate tone, format and reporting-standard adherence.
• Assess generated reports and explain weaknesses in writing and discussion.
• Refine exercises and rubrics after review, preserving meaningful differences between branches, units and reporting styles.

Relevant experience

This is a remote opportunity for US-based contributors. Former federal or military reporting experience is particularly relevant. The preferred profile includes at least three years in a relevant role and direct experience preparing standard staff reports and executive communications. Experience across multiple roles is valuable; work spanning two or more military branches is an additional advantage, not a universal requirement.

You should be comfortable producing and reviewing PowerPoint briefings, memos, Excel summaries and other procedural documents. Precise communication, analytical judgment and familiarity with federal terminology and reporting expectations are central. Prior AI experience is not required.

Deliverables and pay

Deliverables are self-contained exercise packages: a prompt, authorized supporting artifacts, a strong reference response and an explicit grading rubric. IXO will agree the workload and schedule before work starts.

Pay is $45 $85/hr (USD). Use fictional, public or specifically authorized information. Do not submit classified, controlled, operationally sensitive or employer-confidential material through an application or task. Describe prior experience without sharing restricted documents.
