IXO is seeking a skilled English content writer to create and revise articles, stories, explanations, summaries and dialogue to a defined brief. You will build prompts and reference responses that test writing skills and assess fluency, coherence, factual reliability, creativity and bias.

This remote role involves three to six months of work for UK or US-based contributors at 40 hours per week, with pay ranging from $40 to $55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing, linguistics, computer science or related subject plus at least three years in English content writing, copywriting or similar work.
• Strong editing skills and understanding of LLM strengths/limitations.
• Ability to manage deadlines independently and meet project timelines.

Your work at IXO

Create and evaluate English writing for IXO across informative and creative formats. The work combines original writing, prompt development and structured judgment of AI responses.

Responsibilities

• Write and revise articles, stories, explanations, summaries and dialogue to a defined brief.
• Build prompts and strong reference responses that test the intended writing skill.
• Assess fluency, coherence, factual reliability, creativity and potential bias.
• Explain how an output meets or misses the reader’s purpose and the required tone.
• Provide corrections and detailed review notes that another writer can apply.

Required experience and preparation

You need a bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing, linguistics, computer science or a related subject, plus at least three years in English content writing, copywriting or similar work. A sound understanding of LLM strengths and limitations, excellent editing skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently are required. This track is for UK or US-based contributors available for 40 hours per week over three to six months.

Preferred experience

• Prompt engineering, LLM assessment, human-evaluation methods and NLP knowledge are helpful.
• Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French or German bilingual ability is an additional advantage.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include original text, prompts, reference answers, scored model outputs and actionable revision notes. The work is remote; IXO will agree the engagement period and working arrangement before it begins.

Pay is $40 - $55/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
