Bbhotels Group in Paris is seeking a Legal Counsel to act as the main legal point of contact for IT and E‑commerce teams, and for internal departments within the BU, focusing on GDPR compliance across the BU countries and B&B Home.

You will also serve as the Legal Department’s key contact with the WE business unit and Group entities on these topics, review and negotiate contracts, support IT projects, monitor regulatory developments, and ensure consumer law adherence.

• Draft/addenda for network contracts using standard templates.
• Implement compliance policies within scope and monitor regulatory developments.

The Legal Counsel will act as the main legal point of contact for IT and E-commerce teams, and more broadly for all internal departments within the BU, focusing on GDPR compliance across the different countries of the BU (including B&B Home) and supporting the implementation of new tools.

They will also serve as the Legal Department’s key contact with the WE business unit and Group entity on these topics.

Main Responsibilities

Data Protection, IT, E-commerce:

• Support internal teams to ensure GDPR compliance of the BU entities and contracts.
• Provide legal support on GDPR-related matters in collaboration with the DPO.
• Review, update, and negotiate documentation and contracts (online and offline) to ensure compliance with GDPR and consumer law, in collaboration with other legal counsels.
• Analyze and support IT projects for new services/activities/tools, including cross-BU projects.
• Ensure compliance of the entire E-commerce process with both consumer law and data protection regulations.
• Draft and amend operational contracts and addenda for the network, based on Legal Department templates (e.g., management contracts, franchise agreements).
• Implement compliance policies within the assigned scope.
• Conduct regulatory monitoring for the Legal Department.
• Carry out any additional tasks as required, depending on the evolution of the Legal Department.

Your technical skills

• Technical skills: General business law, data protection law, IP/IT law. Must be adaptable, service-oriented, and able to work in a multi-country environment with diverse timelines and requirements.
• Languages: English required; German is a plus (particularly for Swiss matters).
• Interpersonal skills: Client-oriented, pragmatic, calm and composed. Additional key traits include rigor, excellent drafting skills, autonomy, teamwork, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
