CoderPad in France (remote) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the EMEA Engineering team. You will own complex features end‑to‑end, guiding architecture decisions and collaborating with PMs and designers to deliver reliable, scalable software.

You will also drive testing, reviews and production deployment. You’ll work with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java/Node.js/Ruby on the backend, using AI tools to speed delivery while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in at least one backend language (Java, Ruby, Node.js).
• Frontend experience with React.
• Experience designing scalable systems and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Autonomous work in a distributed, remote‑first environment.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools to accelerate delivery and tooling.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop new full-stack features (React/TypeScript on the frontend; Java, Node.js, or Ruby on the backend).
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate feature delivery and automate repetitive tasks.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions within the team.
• Write automated tests and ensure code quality via reviews.
• Deploy and monitor features in production (GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Improve engineering practices and processes in the team.
• Partner with Product and other teams to scope, prioritise, and deliver impactful work.
