Lever, Inc. is seeking a Lead QA Engineer (AI Native) based in France to own the quality strategy for a high-reliability AI-first product.

The role combines hands-on test automation with AI-agent workflows in a small, senior engineering team, focusing on end-to-end testing and release safety for critical financial flows. You will define testing coverage, implement scalable automation, and leverage Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and similar tools to continuously improve quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and owning testing processes for large, complex products with high reliability requirements.
• Strong software engineering foundation including backend/services and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience building automated tests and integrating testing into CI/CD workflows.
• Daily use of AI coding agents as part of software development.
• Interest in AI-first development and testing AI-generated code.
• Autonomy to own challenges and drive solutions end-to-end.
• Ability to stay hands-on as an individual contributor in a small senior team.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Fluent Russian.

Responsabilités

• Design and build end-to-end testing pipeline (pre-merge, nightly, release validation, production gates).
• Define the quality strategy for AI-generated code and high-risk areas.
• Build and maintain automated UI tests across browsers and devices, including AI-driven tests.
• Evaluate, select and integrate external testing tools and services.
• Own product reliability, focusing on critical financial workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering/DevOps to embed quality across the lifecycle.
• Use AI coding agents daily to create and evolve testing solutions.
• Identify risks, drive improvements, and share best practices.
