Job summary

Odaseva, a leader in enterprise data management, is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer in Paris. This hands-on technical leadership role will architect and evolve reactive test automation frameworks, own API and UI test coverage, and embed automation into CI/CD, with AI-driven approaches.

You will back up the QA Manager, mentor engineers, and partner with product and release management to align automation with priorities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering or QA engineering experience.
• Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and automation.
• Experience with Gherkin/BDD frameworks.
• Strong CI/CD experience and pipeline design for test execution.
• Practical AI tools/techniques within a QA/QE context.
• Familiarity with test data strategy and orchestration for complex workflows.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers and coordinating teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reactive, scalable test automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Define automation standards and best practices across the QE team.
• Continuously evolve the toolchain to keep pace with product growth.
• Own API test automation and CI/CD integration for fast feedback.
• Embed automation early in the development lifecycle (shift-left).
• Lead AI-driven QA initiatives for test generation and flaky-test triage.
• Mentor QE engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
