Job summary

Odaseva, Paris-based, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a global QA squad. You will design and execute test cases, automate tests, and drive quality with PMs and developers in an Agile environment.

The role is full-time with a hybrid office model in Paris, collaborating with US-based peers and across France. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in QA or development, strong automation skills (Playwright, PactumJS, Jest, Postman, Cucumber), and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s degree with 7 years of experience in a technical QA or development field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, PactumJS, Jest, Postman, or Cucumber.
• Solid knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and familiarity with Xray (or similar).
• Good knowledge of CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI (or similar tools).
• Interest and familiarity with AI tools to optimize testing efficiency is a plus.
• Prior Salesforce testing experience is a significant advantage.
• Fully fluent in English and French (essential for daily collaboration).

About The Role

Due to significant growth and to address the evolving needs of our QA team, we are seeking a Quality Engineer.

You will join a structured QA community of about half a dozen engineers based across France and the United States, allowing you to share best practices and grow technically with your international peers. On a daily basis, you will be fully integrated into an Agile Product squad, working hand-in-hand with developers and product managers. You will report directly to the Manager of the Quality Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Case Design & Execution: Design comprehensive and efficient test cases based on product requirements and user stories. Execute tests (both manual and automated) to ensure product quality and functionality meet our high defined standards.
• Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to ensure long-term efficiency and scalability in our testing processes.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Act as a leadership driving force within your squad. You will actively lead the collaboration between the Product Manager (PM) and Developers to define, clarify, and prioritize quality and testability requirements from the very start.
• Bug Tracking & Analysis: Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, and work with the engineering team to prioritize and resolve them.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to streamline the release process.
• Quality Culture: Act as an internal advocate for QA best practices, helping the whole team maintain high standards.
• Participation in Agile Ceremonies: Actively contribute to all agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring a strong quality mindset throughout the development cycle.

Required Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Engineering degree or Master's degree with 7 years of experience in a technical QA or development field.
• Testing Frameworks & Tools: Strong hand-on experience with tools like Playwright, PactumJS, Jest, Postman, or Cucumber. Familiarity with other frameworks like Cypress or RestAssured is also highly valued.
• Methodology & Test Management: Solid knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and familiarity with test management tools like Xray (or similar).
• CI/CD & Innovation: Good knowledge of CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI (or similar tools). A strong interest and familiarity with leveraging AI tools to optimize testing efficiency is a plus.
• Nice to Have: Prior experience with Salesforce testing is a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: A true team player with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in evolving technologies.
• Languages: Fully fluent in both English and French (essential for daily collaboration with both your local squad and US-based QA peers).
