Job summary

Airbus UpNext seeks an experienced Lead AI, Video Analytics and Aircraft Integration Engineer to drive vision-based solutions for the demonstrator. You will own the architecture to deploy models on embedded hardware, integrate cameras with the onboard compute platform, and oversee validation, sensor fusion, and pipeline testing across multiple test benches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping ML/cv systems to production
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with edge/embedded hardware deployments
• Experience with detection, tracking and multi-camera geometry
• Familiarity with Linux and Docker
• Knowledge of NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge platforms

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture to move the prototype from lab to aircraft
• Integrate cameras and onboard compute, define interfaces with aircraft systems
• Develop validation datasets, metrics and calibration for installation
• Lead new algorithms and sensors, including multi-sensor fusion
• Define engineering standards: testing, versioning, CI
• Guide junior CV engineer and align with safety/privacy stakeholders
• Build annotated datasets and train/evaluate models
• Test pipelines and integrate on target hardware
