Job summary

Airbus UpNext is seeking a Computer Vision & Video Analytics Engineer to develop vision-based solutions across multiple test benches in Toulouse. You will collaborate with a senior AI engineer and international teams on an agile program, delivering datasets, models and evaluation metrics while ensuring code quality and robust documentation.

The role is based in Toulouse with flexible hours and remote-work options, under a fixed-term contract linked to the demo deliverable through February 2028.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer vision / ML / robotics or related field.
• Strong Python; experience with PyTorch and OpenCV.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux command line; good documentation.
• English at negotiation level; autonomous and proactive; teamwork in international setting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain annotated datasets: frame extraction, labelling, quality checks and train/validation splits.
• Train, fine-tune and evaluate models, and report results with clear metrics.
• Implement and test new algorithms from literature in the Python codebase.
• Write unit and regression tests and keep documentation up to date.
• Help integrate the pipeline on target hardware: running models and diagnosing video input issues.
• Assist evaluation of new sensors and write integration prototypes.
