A video game development studio in Paris is seeking a Lead 3D Character Artist to model and texture realistic characters based on concept art. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience in the gaming industry and 2 years in a senior role. Familiarity with tools like ZBrush and Unreal Engine 5 is essential, along with fluency in French. This role involves leading a team and collaborating with animators for seamless integration of models.

We are partnering with a fast-growing video game development and publishing studio developing tactical RPG PC games to spot a Lead 3D Character Artist.

Reporting to the Art Director, you will be responsible for :

• Modelling (High and Low Poly) and texturing (UV, baking, textures) realistic characters and creatures on the basis of concept art in compliance with the established DA and the technical constraints established in pre-production
• Establish or improve production guidelines for characters and creatures for internal and external teams
• Lead the 3D Character Artists, giving them the benefit of your expertise to ensure that production of consistent, high-quality models
• Work closely with the Lead Animator to ensure models are seamlessly integrated

What we’re looking for from you:

• You have minimum 6 years of experience as a 3D character artist in the gaming industry.
• You must have experience in a similar (Senior with mentoring experience, Principal or Lead) position in video game development for a period of 2 years minimum.
• You have a solid experience with realistic art style.
• You are familiar with ZBrush and Painter and have some knowledge of Unreal Engine 5
• You're interested in medieval and fantasy worlds
• You are fluent in French.

• You know Character Creator
• You are rigorous, organised, autonomous, a self-starter, a good communicator and comfortable working as part of a team
• You are familiar with role-playing games, especially Dungeons & Dragons, and you've got a good sense of humour.
