POSITION SUMMARY

As a Landscape Architecture Project Manager in our Franklin office, you will play a key role in leading site development and landscape architecture projects from concept through construction administration. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, client communication, and project management skills. You will work closely with directors, consultants, engineers, surveyors, municipal reviewers, and project teams to deliver creative, functional, and high-quality design solutions across a variety of project types.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage landscape architecture and site development projects from concept design through construction administration.
• Lead project coordination efforts with clients, consultants, municipal agencies, and internal teams.
• Prepare and oversee development of landscape plans, hardscape plans, and construction documents.
• Review and coordinate entitlement applications, zoning submittals, and permitting documentation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior design team members.
• Conduct site visits, field observations, and construction administration activities.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development efforts.
• Support quality control reviews to ensure project accuracy, consistency, and technical excellence.
• Assist with proposal preparation, fee development, and project planning activities.
• Contribute to a collaborative office culture focused on creativity, service, and professional growth.

POSITION PRE-REQUISITES AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, site design, or land planning.
• Professional landscape architectural licensure is preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept development through construction administration.
• Experience coordinating with engineers, planners, architects, surveyors, municipal agencies, and clients.
• Strong design, technical documentation, and graphic communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Lumion, Enscape, or other rendering / visualization software is preferred.
• Working knowledge of zoning ordinances, land development regulations, and permitting processes and agency review procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and presentations.
• Ability to mentor and support junior designers and project team members.Highly organized with strong time management, problem solving, and project coordination skills.
