Job summary

Nexans, a global leader in power transmission, seeks a Land High Voltage Cable System Engineer based in Paris La Défense to design and deliver onshore HV turnkey projects. You will collaborate with Tendering and Execution teams to elaborate technical offers, cable design data, and electrical calculations.

You will support project managers, review final documents for client approval, participate in meetings, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in High Voltage field is a plus.
Familiarity with Mathcad software and / or with Finite Element Calculations method is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; rigorous and methodical.

Responsibilities

Elaborate the Technical offer and the relevant deliverables (Cable design, Technical Study, Technical schedules, Qualification and factory Tests specifications, assumptions/deviations list and all relevant electrical calculations) at Tender stage.
Support Project Managers to finalize the Technical offer for execution/implementation of the Project after Contract Award.
Review, update and issue final Technical documents / deliverables for client approval before manufacturing the Cable System.
Participate in internal and client Technical meetings; occasional travel to France / other countries for meetings.
