Job summary

ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is seeking an Operations Support Engineer (L2) on a freelance basis for Strasbourg, France, to support a European institution. You will ensure stability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems, provide L2 incident resolution, and collaborate with DevSecOps, DBAs, and architects onsite.

The role requires at least 3 years in IT operations with 2 years in L2 support, ITIL knowledge, strong Linux skills, and experience with CI/CD, APIs, and IAM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT operations or application/system support, with at least 2 years in L2 support for large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service-management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, Knowledge).
• Experience in ITIL-aligned environments and structured change/release management processes.
• Proficiency with enterprise IT service-management tools.
• Strong Linux/Unix, container orchestration, and observability knowledge.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and configuration-management tools.
• Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration technologies.
• Knowledge of identity and access management solutions (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
• Familiarity with web infra, content-management platforms, and build/deploy pipelines.
• Knowledge of database performance monitoring and backup/recovery coordination.
• Familiarity with system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate in a multicultural, multi-vendor environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational maintenance and continuity of systems with focus on stability, security, and performance.
• Provide second-level (L2) support, analyze and resolve incidents and service requests per SLAs.
• Perform maintenance to maintain operability and compliance with client baselines.
• Monitor system health and respond to alerts using observability tools.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps on deployments, automation, and optimization.
• Work with DBAs, architects, and ops teams to ensure system operation and change control.
• Participate in change and release management activities, including testing and rollback planning.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and root-cause analyses.
• Maintain runbooks and knowledge-base, support handover for continuity.
• Provide operational support for middleware and integration components (APIs, data transformation, messaging, IAM, web servers, CMS).
• Support patching, vulnerability remediation, backups, and recovery coordination.
• Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement.
