Job summary

L’Oréal Finance & Legal is seeking a Legal Counsel (CDD) based in France to advise France-based DMIs on copyright, image rights, advertising and marketing law. You will draft and negotiate marketing services contracts with agencies and production partners, and secure third-party rights for campaigns.

The role requires 3–5 years of IP/advertising law experience, in-house or in a law firm, with strong writing and analytical skills and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IP, advertising/marketing, or consumer protection law.
• In-house or law firm background with practical, pragmatic application.
• Strong analytical, writing and summarizing skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate marketing services contracts with agencies and production partners.
• Negotiate and secure third-party rights for campaigns (ambassadors, models, photographers, music).
• Support Art Buying/Business Affairs teams on models and photographers’ rights: templates, training, and negotiation.
• Draft and negotiate collaborations, partnerships, or sponsorships agreements.
• Handle disputes with competitors and third parties regarding communications materials.
• Contribute to standard contractual documents and train business teams.
