CMA CGM offers an internship in Marseille within the CMA Ships Purchasing Department. You will join the Strategic Purchasing team, supporting sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management activities as part of your work-study program.

Ideal candidates are Master's students in Purchasing or related fields, fluent in English, and proficient in Excel. This 6-month program emphasizes sustainable procurement and process improvement, with a focus on SRM tooling and compliant supplier

• Fluent English; professional communication.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office tools.
• Self-motivated, autonomous and eager to learn.

Responsabilités

• Manage a specific purchasing category.
• Assist with calls for tenders from preparation to supplier selection.
• Support drafting and implementing contracts and PO follow-ups.
• Audit supplier qualification processes and contribute to SRM tool development.

Job description:

YOUR ROLE

You will join the CMA Ships Purchasing Department, which is responsible for procurement activities for vessels owned and operated by CMA CGM. The department is organized into three teams: Strategic Purchasing, Procurement and Logistics.

You will carry out your work-study program within the Strategic Purchasing team.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TODO ?

Sourcing & Contracting

• You will be responsible for managing a specific purchasing category
• You will manage calls for tenders, from preparation to supplier selection
• You will support the team in drafting and implementing contracts
• You will ensure the follow-up of purchase orders and payments

Supplier Relationship Management & Purchasing Processes

• You will contribute to auditing supplier pre-qualification and qualification processes
• You will review and update purchasing procedures and, when necessary, contribute to drafting new ones
• You will support the development of a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tool, with a focus on sustainable procurement and compliance, in collaboration with the Purchasing Department
• You will review, improve and formalize supplier management procedures once implemented

Profile description:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

• You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in Purchasing, Procurement or a related field at a business school or university
• You are fluent in English and comfortable communicating in a professional environment
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
• A good theoretical understanding of purchasing and procurement principles would be appreciated.
• You are resourceful, autonomous and proactive in your work
